Women workers in Garments Industries of Bangladesh | Women the low level workers of Garments Industry

Garments are referred normally as the cloth ready to use. Where garments are produced from fabric being called Garments Industry. Now maximum textile industries of Bangladesh has established as composite where spinning, knitting/weaving, dyeing and garments making are done together. Garments are the finished products of these successive subject matters of textile. Textile industry are now emphasized over Garments sector very much. Quality garment products are their key success from the last successive years.

In Garments industry, the industrialists use most of the low to medium educated workers for their business. Workers at a low wages are available in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is an agricultural country where most of the people earn their livings from agriculture, but when industrialization was begun to expand the landless people has become interested to involve themselves into this sector. At present about 4.2 million people works in Garments factory, most of them are women. In the largest sector of Bangladesh women have come from rural areas to make themselves independent. Since they are also the contributor of the family financially, they are enabled to talk to any family decision. For this sector women have got an opportunity to work in better environment through living in urban areas. 



But these women workers are falling under numerous problems to work in garments factories. In major cases women are neglected and given  low wages than men workers. The factory owners are claimed that they are low educated and low efficient in working as a result women labors make few wages through working during the same hours. Also women workers have fallen too many other invisible problems which are retained hide for number of years. They are emerged as tinny members and very rough behave also done with them in many cases. The garments workers also lead much miserable life that is not expected to a person.


Nevertheless, thousands of women worker are added daily into these factories to earn their livings. Now a days workers are combined together and make workers association. Under this association they struggled for increasing their wages and make a rule of minimum wage given. Bangladeshi Government has accepted their request and noticed the Garments Factories to give them a minimum wages of 4500 taka. Since, the factory owners are enabled to take any challenge into the world competitive market for this low level workers, they should be benefited workers by giving them right wages in right time. To minimize industrial dispute and clash the factory owners should sincere to give their wages, some extra facilities, welfare and job satisfaction through motivation.
